HALAL PROFESSIONAL BOARD (HPB) JAKIM was established on 15 December
2014 after being approved by the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs
Malaysia (MKI). HPB is one of the 5 initiatives of the Secretariat of the Malaysian
Halal Council, JAKIM under the Innovation and Professionalism Development
Branch. The main function of HPB is in Basic Development and the
implementation of the Professionalism and Halal Skilled Personnel development
program. HPB has developed Halal Training Programme Modulessuch as the
Training Module (Executive Halal) and the Internal Halal Auditor Training Module
to ensure that the halal chain is secured at the Industry level. A total of 31 Halal
Training Providers have been registered under HPB.
